A classmate asked me for a scarf. His only words were “it must be dark blue, grey and green” and he warned me he liked fashion (talking about pressure!).
With that pressure and the fear of not knowing what to do because I have never crocheted anything for a man before, I started my research. “This green is too… green”, “this stitch is too open”, “this wool is not warm enough”, these were the thoughts in my head for about a week until finally, thanks to Pinterest, YouTube, crochet books, Ravelry and Aracne’s wisdom, I found what I wanted, exactly what I wanted.
And for the pattern, I chose the Moogly’s Moroccan Midnight Cowl that is a beautiful pattern and she explains it easily. Nonetheless, I made some changes because I didn’t want a cowl but a long scarf with pointy ends, something like a trapezium.
You can see the results here in the photos.
It seems my classmate liked the scarf and said the colors were exactly what he had thought (it was a relief after one week searching for the “perfect” color).
Good luck with this!
